Firestarter is a new live-fire kitchen in Liverpool Street, serving dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
The idea was simple: to create a place where food takes centre stage, cooked over open flames that guests can see, smell, and feel from their table.
The menu leans into bold, confident flavours. Dishes include crab doughnuts with cowboy butter, espresso-tamarind ribs, gochujang wings, and a double smash burger served full Animal Style. For bigger appetites, there’s a 450g Iberico pork chop, while fire-roasted cauliflower with black garlic offers a standout option for those avoiding meat.
The space seats around 50 guests, with eight seats at the counter offering a front-row view of the action from flame to plate. The drinks list features nine cocktails, including the White Hot Negroni and the Burnt Butter Rum Punch.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious. No tablecloths, no fuss — just great food, open flames, and a strong, welcoming vibe whenever guests choose to visit.
